On Saturday morning, Melbourne was covered in a thick fog, causing low visibility at Melbourne Airport, with levels dropping to as low as 150m. The fog primarily affected the inner, northern, and eastern suburbs, prompting the State Emergency Service to issue a road warning due to hazardous driving conditions.
Drivers were advised to reduce their speed, maintain a greater distance between vehicles, and turn on their headlights to ensure their safety on the roads.
